The Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma is a qualification which prepares you to study at degree level. It's available to those of any age who have left school without the relevant qualifications, and would now like to embark on university.
They are primarily delivered in further education colleges in England and Wales, and there are more than 1,100 courses available in a wide variety of subjects. There are no formal entry requirements, and most courses are completed in one year. It is also possible to study part-time over two or more years, or through distance learning or evening sessions.
The Access to HE Diploma is widely accepted by UK universities, and each year approximately 20,000 Access to HE students apply for a degree course at a UK university in a wide range of subjesct including law, education and business.
