There are many benefits to employing students straight out of school rather than at graduate level.
Under the age of eighteen, employers can only hire students as part of a work-based training programme, such as an Apprenticeship. Through apprenticeships, employees gain skills and qualifications and employers gain members of staff at a reduced rate, with specialist training.
Employing students straight from school or college also gives businesses the ability to shape their workforce from the very beginning. School leavers are often energetic and enthusiastic workers and are great value for money.
